CoreFX Ingredients LLC, a company specializing in a proprietary nutritional delivery technology called CoreNhanced, has opened a new regional headquarters in Ireland. The expansion was supported by Enterprise Ireland and developed in collaboration with the food science innovation center Teagasc Moorepark, and will support scientific innovation, technology development, and commercial expansion.

Through the new location, CoreFX will accelerate development of technologies that improve how bioactive molecules perform during manufacturing throughout shelf life, and ultimately, within the body.

Ireland was selected for its globally recognized strengths in food science, biotechnology, research collaboration, and access to exceptional scientific talent, the company reported.

“Returning to Ireland to establish our European headquarters is personally meaningful, but this decision was driven by much more than my own roots,” said Denis Neville, founder and CEO of CoreFX. “Ireland has become one of the world’s leading centers for food science, biotechnology, and innovation. By combining the scientific excellence of Teagasc Moorepark with Enterprise Ireland’s vision and support, we are creating an innovation platform that will accelerate how breakthrough nutritional technologies move from research into commercial reality for customers across Europe and beyond.”

The Irish operation launches with three scientists in place, led by Cara Maloney, PhD, an accomplished drug-delivery and biomaterials scientist with more than 5 years of postdoctoral research experience. With extensive research in formulation development and analytical methods, and 26 peer-reviewed publications, Maloney will lead the team’s scientific and applied research activities, reinforcing CoreFx’s commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and scientific development.

Trevor Dunne, European managing director, will lead the expansion. Dunne brings more than two decades of international leadership across the food, flavor and nutrition sectors and will lead commercial growth, customer partnerships, and strategic expansion throughout Europe. Enterprise Ireland has worked alongside CoreFX since 2023, supporting the company’s European strategy, research collaborations, and leadership development.

“Congratulations to Denis and the team at CoreFX on today’s announcement. Their investment is a strong endorsement of Ireland’s food science and biotechnology sector. Since 2023, Enterprise Ireland has supported the company’s growth strategy, and this new European headquarters, developed alongside Teagasc Moorepark, represents the next stage of that journey. We look forward to seeing the team and business grow from here,” said Mark Christal, executive director of Enterprise Ireland.
